The school wanted to bring the classroom outdoors: a space that could be a stage, a playground, a place for storytelling or simply somewhere to explore. Rather than defining its use, we worked with the students through a series of co-design workshops, translating their sketches and ideas into the landscape.
Learning, outside
The result is a colourful, child-scaled environment designed to spark imagination and invite different kinds of play and learning. There are no fixed rules for how it should be used; a space that hosts a lesson in the morning might become a theatre in the afternoon, or a place for adventure the next day.
a playful landscape
Used throughout the year, the landscape has become an extension of the school itself — a place where learning happens through movement, exploration and interaction. By giving children greater freedom to shape how they occupy the space, the project creates a kind of learning environment that an indoor classroom simply cannot replicate.
